Slovakia, also referred to as the Slovak Republic, offers you natural landscapes, hills, caves, medieval castles and cities, folk architecture, spas and ski resorts. The nation is located in the center of Europe and borders Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine and Hungary and vast hills occupy the northern half of Slovakia. Slovakia offers compulsory education for ten years. Students enter primary education in their 6th year, second primary education will take them from 10-15 years of age and “high” schools are for those 16 and older until they reach university age.
